603 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Dry Squish"

Recorded myself cutting up, tearing and squishing a watermelon, resulting sounds processed only with a slight low-cut and normalization. Recording quality was not as great as i would have hoped although there should still be something useful here, i learnt 2 valuable lessons though:. 1. Watermelon juice and microphones are best kept separated. 2. Sounds travels quite well through kitchen worktops so don't put the mic flat on it!.

A collection of 4 sounds of me. . . Well. . . Playing with my tortellini! that didn't come out right. Anyway. . . They'll make great splat and horror sounds, among other things! enjoy. :).

Some sounds of a man with dry mouth momentarily waking up from a sleep. Recorded with an audio-technica shot gun mic to a tascam dr-60dmii.

A mixer truck, freshly loaded is mixing (extremely dry) concrete in the drum as it spins on the frame of the truck! i held the mic to the exterior of the steel drum as it spun. So there are underlying cat engine noises in the background. The concrete is so dry, its load enough to over power the majority of engine sounds.

A recording of someone walking slowly through dry leaves, could be used for footsteps or simply rustling of leaves.

This is as named, how i made these is not important. Ideally i imagine these appearing in a victorian period drama featuring adrien brody and sam neill.

Recording of a door being opened and closed, and then opened and closed again. Very slight footsteps (on carpet) can be heard. The microphone (sennheiser mkh-50) was intentionally placed about 5 feet away from the door so as to capture some of the natural room sound/reverb (which is very subtle). I have another recording available of the exact same door and mic setup, but aimed slightly off-axis to capture just a bit more room sound. Recorded into a tascam 208i audio interface and into adobe audition. Very minor processing (low-cut at 80hz to remove low-freq rumble).

Simple noodling using the soprsax! patch on the yamaha vl70-m physical modelling synthesizer using the yamaha wx11 windcontroller. Vaguely inspired by listening to a video about wayne shorter’s infant eyes. Might become useful in a future piece of musicking.

A footstep (left foot) on a dry grassy surface. Originally recorded these for a university project, but thought they could be of some use to someone.

Processed recording of a portable mechanical typewriter. Captured using a clippy em172 microphone and a zoom h5 recorder. Edited and processed in ocenaudio. Rotten tomatoes recording using the rode nt2-a condenser microphone into the focusrite scarlett 2i2. Perfect for horror/gore.

I bought a little handheld tape recorder at goodwill and found a tape with this recording on it inside.

A lot of fruit died to make this sound. Ever have a whale explode and need the sound of flesh falling from the sky? maybe you had an adventurer who was turned into mince meat above your heads. This recording is honestly more amusing than good. I was walking on a trail at victoria bryant park when i found a part that was flooded. I tried to go around it, and accidentally stepped in some mud. So i took a minute to record myself walking in it.

I mashed some spaghetti with my hands. Some gross sounds in there of impact or movement.

A seamless, loopable, squishy, fleshy, gross sound.

This is a gurgling sound i created by accident. It's a short clip from the "new dimensions in sound (1957)" public domain clip from the prelinger collection at archive. Org. Specifically, i used this line: "as the record plays, the needle wiggles. " cut out the first part, made a loop of "the needle wiggles. . . The needle wiggles," and lowered the pitch with reapitch by two octaves. This was the result.

Whenever i'm bored i tend to beatbox, so i decided to multitrack myself one day in the hopes of creating a full song out of it. I never did finish it, so i've included this and another loop of my multi-tracked vocals in this pack. If you use it leave a comment to let me know where i can hear what you did with it!.
